    Burnes (5-2) earned the win over Boston on Wednesday, allowing an unearned run on three hits and three walks while striking out five batters over seven innings.

    Burnes was splendid in the outing, yielding no extra-base hits and allowing zero earned runs for the second time in his past three starts. The right-hander's five strikeouts were mildly disappointing, but he did have his swing-and-miss stuff working with 16 whiffs in the contest. Burnes has completed at least six frames in seven straight starts and is tied for second in the league with nine quality starts on the campaign.

    Burnes allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out six during the Orioles' win over the White Sox.

    Burnes fired four shutout frames before the White Sox finally broke through with a three-run fifth inning. He forced 14 whiffs and has produced double-digit swinging strikes in eight of his 11 starts this season. The 29-year-old righty has allowed three or fewer earned runs in each of those 11 outings, resulting in an impressive 2.60 ERA through 65.2 innings. Burnes will take a 66:17 K:BB into his next outing, which is lined up to come at home against Boston.

    Burnes (4-2) earned the win Sunday against the Mariners, allowing one run on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out 11.

    Unlike his previous four outings where the Orioles scored a total of four runs, Burnes received five runs of support through the first three innings, allowing him to cruise to the victory. The increase in strikeouts was also a good sign for Burnes, who had tallied no more than six in his previous eight starts since accumulating 11 on Opening Day. Burnes will carry a 2.56 ERA and 1.04 WHIP into his next start, when he's slated to toe the rubber in a highly favorable matchup on the road against the White Sox.

    Burnes did not factor into the decision Monday against the Blue Jays, allowing one run on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out two.

    Burnes did not allow an extra-base hit as a walk and two singles in the sixth led to the lone run he allowed. The two strikeouts are the fewest Burnes has recorded in a start during his career and represent the eighth consecutive start in which he's recorded six or fewer K's after opening the season with an 11-strikeout effort. While he's not been as dominant in Baltimore as he was in Milwaukee, Burnes has still been plenty effective, allowing three or fewer runs in every start this season. His next outing is tentatively slated to take place this weekend when the Blue Jays come to Camden Yards for a three-game set.
